Scrypt Coins
Scrypt is a memory-hard mining algorithm used by Litecoin, Dogecoin and a group of related coins. Scrypt ASICs mine them, and several can be merge-mined together. This list shows live prices for the Scrypt coins Scrypt Wallet supports.

Hashrate and supply are read from Scrypt's own full nodes. These coins are merge-mined, so their hashrates overlap and should not be added together.
How merge mining ties them together
Scrypt coins are unusual in that one machine can earn several of them at once. With merge mining (auxiliary proof of work), a miner working on a Litecoin block can submit the same work to other Scrypt chains, so the hashpower that secures Litecoin also secures the merge-mined coins: Dogecoin, Litecoin, Pepecoin, Luckycoin, Bellscoin. That is why their network hashrates are close to each other in the table above, and why a coin that is merge-mined with a large parent can be far more secure than its own market size would suggest.

Frequently asked questions
Which scrypt assets does Scrypt Wallet support?
Scrypt Price tracks 5: Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), Pepecoin (PEP), Luckycoin (LKY), Bellscoin (BELLS).
What is the Scrypt algorithm?
Scrypt is a memory-hard hashing algorithm. It was designed so that mining needs a lot of fast memory, not just raw computing, which delayed specialised hardware; Scrypt ASICs now dominate, but the coins that use it share the same mining equipment.
Which coins use Scrypt?
Scrypt Price tracks 5 Scrypt coins: Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), Pepecoin (PEP), Luckycoin (LKY), Bellscoin (BELLS). Litecoin and Dogecoin are by far the largest.
Can I mine Litecoin and Dogecoin at the same time?
Yes. Dogecoin and the other coins in this table are merge-mined with Litecoin, so a Scrypt miner earns on all of them with the same hashpower.
How big is the Scrypt network?
Right now Litecoin's network hashrate is 2.51 PH/s and Dogecoin's is 2.83 PH/s, read from Scrypt's own full nodes. The two overlap heavily because Dogecoin is merge-mined with Litecoin.
Which is the largest by market cap?
Dogecoin (DOGE), at $13.46B, priced $0.085994.
Where does the data come from?
Prices are aggregated by Scrypt Price from independent exchanges and on-chain markets. Supply and network figures come from Scrypt's own full nodes.
